Dogs

The Dog series includes paintings that are among Aline’s most popular.

For several years, Aline’s dog, Cheetah, insisted upon keeping her company in the studio, sometimes in front of the easel—sometimes completely underfoot. Aline decided to follow the old saying, “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em and began painting Cheetah.

When asked why the series is limited to existing works, Aline replied, “Because Cheetah is now an angel.” Accordingly, one of her latest sculptures is called Cheetah Angel.
